InPress: End of year shows

During the last term of second year, me and InPress have been talking to Rose from marketing about the idea of running a shop. After a few meetings we sent out a call for interest to all students and managed to get a lot of interest.

We ran the shop for the two weeks that the graduate exhibitions were on for. The opening night was very busy extremely successful sales wise. We also got speaking to some great people who are interested in InPress and what we do. Most people seemed really happy with the fact that all of the profits went to the artists and we only charged a small fee for materials at the beginning. This is something that we are going to keep and not charge commission on peoples work in the future.

We managed to make quite a bit of money by the end of the two weeks and most of the other students or designers involved made more than their money back.

Musical Mathematics

Luke on our year runs and designs a monthly zine called Musical Mathematics. Each month a guest designer designs the cover, and he kindly asked us to produce the artwork for the June issue, we also got to choose what colour the whole issue would be printed in. He also included our InPress logo, website, Facebook page and a short bio. In return we sold the zines and some of their posters at our end of year shop free of charge.

You can buy Musical Maths on their website.
